1.      General Information about the Department:

 

Department of Physiology started in the Year 1957. The fisrt HOD was Dr. J.S. Saxena.   It was shifted to New building in the campus in the Year 1961.  The Department is housed in the second floor of the College Building in the right wing.   Total area is 17,528 Square feet. Post Graduate students training programme M.D. was introduced in the year 1968 with MCI recognition. It was the first dept to start MD and M.Sc Physiology under Karnataka University Dharwad at KIMS, Hubli  (earlier known as KMC). At present The Dept is training 200 MBBS, 5 MD, 100 B.Sc Nursing and 100 Paramedical students, and is being headed by Dr.K.F.Kammar as Prof & HOD.
