General Information about the department

(Summary about the milestones of the Department, academic facilities, staff, various courses and services provided by the department).

The Department of pathology present in the college building of Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli campus. Our department is well established with facilities for Histopathology, Cytology, Hematology and Clinical Pathology. The staff in this department are involved both in diagnostic and teaching activities. Undergraduates, Postgraduates, Nursing and Para Medical courses students attend classes in this department. The department conducts clinic-pathological meet with various other departments. The Central Laboratory is in the hospital campus caters the inpatients of KIMS, Hospital. The pathology department is having well experienced teachers who deliver scientific guest lectures. Our department caters diagnostic services to KIMS OPD and IPD patients, Superspecialty hospital also to peripheral district hospital and Railway hospital.
