1.      General Information about the Department

Paediatric department is located in a separate block inside KIMS campus. It is having post graduate courses, MD and DCH right from 1964-65. Department has dedicated teachers for the care of sick children and teaching UG and PG students. The department of paediatrics is unique in every aspect of care of sick child and teaching.

3.      In patient care – 120 Bedded

4.      6 bedded PICU with central oxygen, 4 ventilators, monitors and all other necessary equipments for care of sick child round the clock by trained nursing staff.

5.      30 bedded tertiary care SNCU (OUTBORN) and 30 bedded NICU (INBORN) with well trained nursing staff, central oxygen, central suction, with 16 ventilators, LED phototherapy units and all necessary equipment for care of sick newborns.

6.      KMC ward with 15 beds

7.      Side laboratory in the paediatric ward is equipped to perform investigations likeABG, Serum electrolytes, Complete blood count including ESR and PS, Widal test, Urine analysis (Routine) including specific gravity, Urine ketone bodies, 24 hr urinary protein, Stool analysis, CSF analysis, Blood grouping and Rh typing
